Robe Marjolaine

Quelle joie de pouvoir s’exprimer à nouveau alors je vais tenter de rattraper mon retard … Car j’ai beaucoup de choses à vous raconter ;)) Alors j’ai choisi aujourd’hui de vous présenter une nouvelle version de Marjolaine by Slow Sunday Paris précédemment déclinée en blouse, à revoir ici. Aussi c’est très clairement mon coup de coeur pour cet imprimé fleuri by The Sweet Mercerie qui a inspiré cette version robe Marjolaine. En effet, je l’ai imaginé avec col et des manches évasées pour un style chic et facile à porter ;)))

En préambule, Marjolaine est proposée en version robe et blouse avec deux cols et deux declinaisons de bas de manche. C’est simple j’ai fait un mix des 2 pour arriver à l’idée précise que j’avais en tête. Ainsi j’ai gardé le col de la version blouse et coupé pour le reste la version robe en reprenant les poches et surtout les bas de manche.

De par la consistance du crepe imprimé fleurs By The Sweet Mercerie, j’ai utilisé un fin thermocollant au col de facon à lui fournir un certain maintien. Vous devrez aussi prévoir un élastique de 2cm pour la taille et 1cm pour les bas de manche.

Pour la realisation du haut, je vous invite à revoir les dessous conception découlan t de la toute première blouse Marjolaine ;)) La principale différence résidera dans la realisation des bas de manche où j’ai prefere les fermer en lieu et place du tunnel incluant un ruban. Ainsi vous allez couper préalablement à la taille de votre poignet l’élastique 1cm puis vous allez l’étirer en le cousant en point zig zag. Puis une fois l’opération realisee, vous n’aurez plus qu’à fermer les manches.

Une fois le haut cousu, vous allez vous attaquer à la jupe ;)) Préalablement vous monterez les poches puis vous viendrez coudre la jupe au haut. Puis il ne vous restera plus qu’à monter sur l’envers le tunnel de facon à glisser votre élastique avec une épingle à nourrice et l’ajuster à votre taille.

En conclusion, je suis ravie d’avoir realise une nouvelle Marjolaine en mixant les 2 versions de facon à valoriser pleinement ce sublime imprimé ;))) Pour moi, elle est idéale pour associer un imprimé expressif et une coupe épurée pour un style élégant !

What a joy to be able to express myself again then I will try to catch up … Because I have many things to tell you;)) So I chose today to present a new version of Marjolaine by Slow Sunday Paris previously declined in blouse, to see again here. Also it is very clearly my favorite for this flowery print by The Sweet Mercerie that inspired this version Marjolaine dress. Indeed, I imagined it with collar and sleeves flared for a chic style and easy to wear;)))

Level: intermediate – Timing : 3h30 – Cost: €€€

As a preamble, Marjolaine is available in dress and blouse version with two collars and two declinations of sleeves. It’s simple I made a mix of 2 to arrive at the precise idea that I had in mind. So I kept the collar of the blouse version and cut for the rest the dress version by taking the pockets and especially the sleeve bottom.

Due to the consistency of the Crepe printed by The Sweet Mercerie, I used a heat-fusing finish on the collar to provide some support. You will also need an elastic 2cm for the waist and 1cm for the bottom sleeve.

For the realization of the top, I invite you to review the under design resulting from the first blouse Marjolaine;)) The main difference will be the realization of the bottom sleeve where I prefer to close in place of the tunnel including a ribbon. So you will cut before the size of your wrist the elastic 1cm then you will stretch it by stitching it in zig zag. Then, once the operation is complete, you will only have to close the sleeves.

Once the top is sewn, you will attack the skirt;)) Before you go up the pockets then you will come to sew the skirt at the top. Then you will only have to climb on the wrong side of the tunnel in order to slide your elastic with a safety pin and adjust it to your size.

In conclusion, I am delighted to have realized a new Marjolaine by mixing both versions to fully enhance this sublime print;))) For me, it is ideal to combine an expressive print and a sleek cut for an elegant style!
