[item title= »English version »]I looked forward to the new collection of Named this is really a reference in style and always the detail that changes everything … Match a pure cut and its multitude of details make all the difference;)))My last favorite models: Lexi and Inari dress without forgetting the Alexandria pants.
Madeleine is the part that I enjoyed on to its slim fit and especially details: insets highlighted and neck … J’adoooore !!!
Once we have the pattern in hands, any fabric you choose? I opted for a printed black and white poplin (secret designer). For inserts and a desire for harmony, I used a wide black cotton bias of the same thickness 🙂 Of course, you can make your own bias in a printed fabric or color or différentiante material.
Level: advanced – Timing : 4 hours – Cost : €€€
This is the first time I sew back darts for a fitted waist and I must say that it changes everything. Indeed, the shirt delivers on a more formal style. Then you climb the front panels by inserting through (3 cm) folded in two and even exercise the mounting sleeves.
Let start with the collar and ribbon, it delivers a « wise » style and recall through the inserts. Just like any mounting collar and its neck up, you will fusing these two parts so as to deliver optimum support. Thus you will sew the first pass and the edges slightly rounded in fact it is more like a « mao » collar and sew the sides of the neck foot. Then you will put between the neck in the neck foot especially do not skimp on the central steam ;))) Once the two together you will only have to sew the body of the shirt. It’s time to sew the ribbon on the collar, I used a « coarse » picked up at La Droguerie.
For the sleeves, the opening is simplified because you only have to make hems also offset by the width of the wrist. Also, I am limited to 2 buttons instead of four per sleeve.
Besides, I chose black buttons and striated in resin by La Droguerie for lapel and cuffs.
In conclusion, Madeleine is a shirt with the slim fit with front and back darts is the first shirt pattern that allowed me to achieve this year and I am delighted with the result. It leaves the opportunity to fun with the details of the yoke and collar according to your style and desires of the moment.

J'adore j'ai commandé de suite ce patron mais je ne sais pas quand je vais m'y mettre… Trop de patrons, trop de tentations et pas assez de temps…
Je suis d’accord avec toi, Named est une référence de style et là, j'adore tout !
