As this fabric released, I immediatly loved this “Rio nude” print, illustrated with small parrots on “nude” background by Pretty Mercerie … Also the first remark, what a pity it is transparent ;(( Indeed, I have imagined it in a viscose or poplin fabric ;)))
On the occasion of a new order, I bought and no regret ;))))
To highlight these small parrots, I opted for a safe value …The Inari dress by Named Clothing … My 4th version see my 2 favorite realizations : zebra and jacquard ;)))
Level: Beginner – Timing : 2 hours – Cost : €€€
I love printed fabric with birds and we must say that these “Rio” colorful parrots combine perfectly to the “nude” background … Love love love !!!!
To overcome transparency, I lined with white silk satin enough obscuring by Bennytex and of course very fluid (80gr), only cutting the front and back.
Indeed, I wanted to play on transparency on the sleeves for detail while keeping the overlapping edges;)))
Like the zebra version, I harmonized down so I did not keep the staggered slots.
Tip: If you have in your hands a transparent fabric, choose a silk satin to keep the lightness of the main fabric.
