Patron : Bonnell Dress by Dixye (14$ en pdf)

———————————————————————————
After testing for you Linna Morata cotton, I chose another cotton : “Flaming’OH by Aime comme Marie, presented by L’Atelier de DINA and available in different colors and types of fabrics (cotton, fleece, viscose, …)
Aime comme Marie reminds me my first projects as soon as I have “plunged” into the “vortex” of sewing indeed its sewing patterns remains a safe bet to start or regain confidence;)))
On the occasion of the anniversary of my sister (called France, special dedication to Arlais France), this full printed “wisdom” with “pink”small feathers on the charcoal gray background fully matches the style and character my sister. Moreover, I would also like to invite you to discover the variations of Joviana or Annie Coton;)))
For the choice of the pattern, I had in mind a new Bonnell Dress version indeed its present cut the advantage to suit all body types … Ideal for a sewing gift ;))) Review early versions Neoprene “flowers” or viscose “swimmers”.
Level : Intermediate – Timing : 3 hours – Cost : €€€
Just like the version “swimmers”, I removed the side triangles that my sister can wear the weekend but also in the office (she works in the bank;)). It may be associated with a small black jacket such as Bernadette by Republique du chiffon;)
So you have understood, I am “fan” of the cut at the bust and waist always the perfect fit;))
Regarding the fineness of the “Flaming’Oh” poly/coton I use viseline on the bust (essential for backless) and the belt in addition to the initial lining so as to deliver enough outfit and consistency;)))
Moreover, this lightness the advantage of giving a nice flow to the skirt.
In conclusion, Bonnell Dress can be made with different fabrics lighter here poly / cotton (85gr) to heartier such as neoprene (250gr), its timeless cut and easy to make it’s a safe bet;))
Pattern: Bonnell Dress by Dixye ($ 14 pdf)

SO pretty!!! Looking at the Bonnell pattern, your version looks at lot less tight around the waist – and with a lower waist. Did you (and how) alter the pattern to make your lovely version? :0)
Thanks a lot ;)) i made this version for my sister that s why i need to re ajust a little the waist 2cm each side based on a UK10 size. My 1st version dedicated for me in UK 8 is really adjusted. I hope i help you
See you soon
Anne
Thanks, Anne. Looks like I'll just have to make it a size larger then, to obtain that lovely, looser fit :0)
