On the occasion of Christmas, my sister asked me a sailor sirt in fact she is totally addict of Petit Bateau brand, particularly “sailor” models.
So on my last trip home Bennytex I found this magnificent stretch and consisting jersey. It is very pleasant to touch and crisp. And I must say that the burgundy out of the ordinary;)))
Looking at the different Petit Bateau models, I opted for a clean cut, broad and preferred to play on the pleat on back … Indeed, the “sailor” print speaks for itself ;)))
So I thought to Violette shirt by Dessine moi un patron for cut and fold detail on back !!! Again, this is THE timeless gown, available at short wish a safe bet for all styles;))) I love it so much that this is my 4th release all different from each other !!!!
Level: Intermediate – Timing : 2:30 – Cost : €€
Unlike previous versions, I attached fittings especially for the fold on the back and the assembly of two yokes back. Thus, it is the time of cutting it will be thorough so as to have a beautiful harmony;)))
As I mentioned, the “sailor” print is largely expresses so I have not added piping and privileged two metal buttons (instead of 3).
Overall jersey was enjoyable sewing (except may be the realization of the buttonhole) it was not necessary to switch to the serger.
In conclusion, I am pleased with the result and especially the joy of my little sister;))))
